In sickness takes a look at the dynamic of conjugal violence. The film doesn't attempt to paint anyone as the villain, but rather tries simply to show what it is like for couples trapped in this terrible cycle of abuse. In sickness is based on true events.

In sickness was shot in Montreal, Quebec,  in two different locations, over the course of three days in August of 2013. It was captured on a RED One camera for a budget of roughly $1 800.
